Red Nose Day 2013
This year Red Nose Day celebrates its 25th anniversary….25 years of raising money to help thousands of people in this country and abroad. I bought some t-shirts for me and my Grandsons, bought a Dino toy for GS1, a wristband for me and made a donation here. Hope you enjoy the photos of us in our t-shirts…if you do, make a donation HERE.
Mummy’s day?

#motography 2013
I’ve just finished this class with Jessica Sprague and found it really enjoyable and very useful to find the ‘ins and outs’ of my new mobile phone, even if only from the photography point of view. It involved using instagram and other apps to take, edit and send photos hassle free and craft projects by Heidi Swapp to display and make cards from the photos. It’s surprising how much you can do just on the phone and the apps are either free or available at a very small cost…I think I spent just over £6 altogether to download and buy all the bits and pieces. Much better than the hundreds of pounds you can spend on editing software! A gallery of my work follows and can also be seen on my instagram page. Hope you have fun looking at them and that you’ll contact Jessica if you would like her to run the class again 🙂 There are also instructions for an instagram stand to display a photo, but it involves joining pieces of wood together, so I haven’t got round to that part yet!!!!!

#Teamhonk postcard from Ghana
I was very pleased and privileged to receive a post card from #teamhonk who have been out in Ghana looking at some of the projects funded by the #goodwork that #comic relief has done over the past 25 years. This is a vaccination clinic set up to provide vaccine to prevent diarrhoea.
For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how at rednoseday.com
For other digital postcards please do check out the linky on www.teamhonk.org
Andrew’s birthday
We all gathered for a family curry feast at Jenny and Stephen’s home on Sunday 3rd February. Thank you Stephen for making such a delicious chicken curry and to Jenny our charming hostess!

#Goodwork in Ghana
I thought you might like to see one of the #goodwork projects that is going on in Ghana with the money that has been raised by #comic relief over the last 25 years. #Teamhonk are visiting four projects and this is the first one, the Virtuous Women’s Bakery. I have included two photographs from their visit but go to  http://teamhonk.org/ to find out more. #Teamhonk are @MammasaurusBlog @MummyBarrow and @Aresidence
Here’s a bit of info from http://mammasaurus.co.uk/Â :-
‘Today is the anniversary of the very first Red Nose Day and what better way to mark the occasion than to celebrate the good work that money donated by the public has helped fund
Yesterday morning we visited the Virtuous Women’s Bakery in Accra, Ghana. It’s been such an inspiring experience that I just don’t think that I have the words to do it justice and so here are my favourite photographs which I took at the project – I defy you to look at them and not smile with a sense of optimistic pride in these empowered and determined women and the good work that Comic Relief have done thanks to your donations.’
These are my favourite photos…the woman working with the sleeping baby on her back and the bakery teacher having fun with her class wearing the red nose…..it reminds me of all the fun we used to have in my class on Red Nose Day 🙂
