I listed all the countries I had been to on holiday. It only came to 5%, so I’ve got a huge amount of travelling to do! I probably won’t have the time or the money!!!!!

Sew Scrappy Happy . Week 2.
Now,I’m only two weeks behind in this class! I took the photos to experiment with the ‘macro’ setting on my camera for the HTE class. I didn’t use them for that class but when I saw this patterned paper, I thought of them. One of the challenges for this week was to enclose a space with stitching. I decided to branch out and do some zig-zag stitching around the tulip and girl embellishments.
Here, There and Everywhere.
Sew Scrappy Happy . Week 1.
Here is my lo for week 1 of this class! Oops! It’s really week 4, the last week of the class! Well… anyway….I’m ‘behind’ as usual, so watch this blog for weeks 2, 3& 4! I really enjoyed doing this week 1 project, mainly because I was able to sew most of the elements on and not get myself all stickied up with glue!! Still, I DO like to get into a sticky situation sometimes, so I don’t think I’ll be giving up the paper and glue altogether. I certainly will be including stitching on my los from now on, thanks to Jen!!
Scrap your Day. 25th February 2009.
On the 25th January, we had a day at home, but this month John and I were on holiday in Alnwick, Northumberland. We stayed in a holiday let near the town centre called ‘Hufflepuff House’, which is something to do with the Harry Potter books. Alnwick Castle was the location for Hogwarts School in the HP films. The castle wasn’t open but we have visited there a couple of times before when the children were young and before the HP phenomenon! That day we went out to the seaside at Alnmouth and Amble. Forgot to take a photo of tea- lasagne by the way and I couldn’t take the face shots that Shimelle wrote about in the prompt because I hadn’t access to a PC. If you would like to see more photos they are in the Scrap Your Day group on Flikr- link below.

Here, there & everywhere. Prompt 3.
I live in Bramhall, Stockport, which is part of Greater Manchester, UK. Because our street is just on the border, we have the best of both worlds and have all the services and amenities of Cheadle Hulme as well as Bramhall.
We moved to this area of Stockport nearly twelve years ago now because of ‘the many miles of beautiful tree-lined roads and villas.’
It is not on a through road, so we are relatively quiet and ‘countryfied’. In the daytime there are squirrels and the sound and sight of a variety of birds in the garden and at night the bright eyes of a fox in the car headlights or the sound of owls hooting gives the illusion of being in a more rural area.
If you would like more information about the area, as well as looking at the pages of my folder you can visit the community web sites.
